New Generation Hot Pot

My friends and I (in total four adults) went last night during the soft opening because I was craving hot pot so much I was dreaming about it. We walked in around 8:30 and the place was packed. They told us it would be a forty minutes wait so we hung out at Kung Fu tea while the other half of our group went to get cash from the ATM (by the way their card reader was broken). We walked in after like forty minutes even though I hadn't gotten a text that our table was ready yet but they seated us right away.

The staff was super nice and really helped us understand the menu and how to eat hot pot. Basically you order drinks and your broth, the meat, seafood, and sides you want and then make your dipping sauces in the front. (They do have peanut sauce so beware if you have allergies.) There's a conveyer belt that has lots of veggies and some of the sides (eggs, noodles, etc.) which is really cool. You get to cook everything at your table, dip it in your sauce, and chow down. Hands down one of the best places to go on a cold day for some hot food. It was rainy and cold but the atmosphere is so nice you won't remember it's icy out.

Wow - Baltimore has real hotpot now! For those who have never had hot pot before, at this place, high-tech magnetic conveyance brings you dozens of choices in veggies, tofu, meatballs, and noodles, while the waiters bring in all the meat you can eat, which you dunk in the boiling savory broth of your choice to desired doneness, then dip in your choice of sauce. Delicious.
