Mama's on the Half Shell Owings Mills

We felt pressured to leave. The food was delicious, our server was attentive and efficient but the woman bussing the tables was so annoying. We got there about 2 hours before closing. We ordered more drinks after eating our meals. The woman bussing the tables literally stood over us, starring at us until I finally got fed up and left. The restaurant closes at 11p. By 10:40p we had paid our bill and just wanted to finish our drinks. The woman stared us down so hard, I could barley focus on the conversation I was trying to have with my fiancee. I wanted to give this 5 stars but after being pressured to leave, I just couldn't.

I came to this restaurant with really low expectations due to the 3.7 ratings. I normally WOULD NEVER go anywhere below a 4.5, but my husband convinced me to give it a chance since it's a new restaurant and a lot of the reviews seem to be related to the place being opened recently.

Boy was I surprised. The ambience, the food, the service..... it was absolutely fantastic! First of all, the place is gorgeous. The decor is beautiful and I could see myself going on date nights with my husband or girls nights with the girlies. We had oysters (raw and cooked), rockfish with crabs, and the cream of crab soup. *chefs kiss* Everything was delicious and for reference I like food with lots of flavor. I was shocked. And the drinks.... I don't remember what I had because I drank it so fast, it was delicious and felt like a quality craft cocktail from a very fancy bar.

I could keep going but overall, I just wanted to post this review so other "review junkies" like me give this place the chance it DESERVES! I wish I remembered the waiters name, he was great and I wish I could shout him out!

Anyways, go here. You won't regret it!

We had a great time in this restaurant. The waitress was down to earth and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was great. The remodel of the restaurant is also top notch. Didnt have to wait long for the food and it was pretty good. The crabcake eggrolls were surprisingly good. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food.

We went here for our weekly family dinner night. It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last!! We were comfortably seated in one of their very plush booths. Our server was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. The 7-year-old ordered his usual, grilled cheese and fries, and ate ALL of it (we usually bring some home)! He's already requested that we come here every week for family dinner! My wedge salad was HUGE but I managed to finish it but I had to get a to-go box for my calamari (it crisped up nicely the next day in the air fryer!). 😋

This is definitely going to be in my top faves. Beautiful space and decor with Christmas jazz playing was amazing. Great place for a date night or graduation dinner. We got oysters, scallops, cream of crab soup and so much more. Everything is delicious I will say my family said the soup could be hotter (they like it burn your mouth hot). Other than that the service was amazing especially for a new staff. I can’t wait to come back!
