Nestled in the shadow of the old Roma’s Pizzeria, Jimmy’s Grille is the perfect spot for a quick, filling lunch or dinner during your busy day. As I walked in I was greeted by Emily, who was also my cashier. The menu is perfect, offering choices ranging from the classic burger and fries to scrumptious Mediterranean delights. You can always watch George tossing a handmade pizza base while you’re perusing the menu. He’s guaranteed to throw you a smile. I ordered the classic burger and some fries in gravy with a tall glass of Southern Sweet Iced Tea. That tea would do my southern ancestors proud. Perfectly brewed and chilled to a dream. Caesar made my burger from a fresh all-beef patty, added cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and ketchup before nestling it into the softest, flakiest, lightly toasted brioche bun I’ve every had, and he walked it to my table, personally. I felt like royalty. That first bite had me rolling my eyes back into my head in sheer delight! The fries were crispy, but soft in the middle and smothered in the perfect amount of beef gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed stuffing my face with them while side eying the assortment of desserts in the refrigerated case. That key lime pie has a definite place in my near future…”
