Shoyou Sushi

This "modern" sushi is a hip take on what has been a traditional delicacy for centuries. Their rolls will fill you up with lots of rice and mayo, I just wish they let the flavor of the fish come out a little more. Certainly a popular spot so you may have to wait to get a table, but the bar across the street is pretty great till you can be seated.

Shoyou is by the best bang for your buck sushi joint in Baltimore if you ask me! You can get intricate, delectable and LARGE portion sizes of some of the most creative and delicious sushi rolls I’ve ever had for such a reasonable price. It’s a bit of a bustling atmosphere and sadly in the bro centric fed hill hood BUT it’s worth the trek through blazers bow ties and Dave Matthews band fans to eat their tempura salmon.

I wanted to not review this place just so people don't know how good it is, but I'm running low on things to review. Definitely the best sushi place I've found in Baltimore. Ive probably spent a paycheck or two here by now, not joking. The baked rolls are really good and they also have a sushi burrito if you have been wanting to try that. Personally I've had the burrito and I'm not a fan, but many of the other rolls are delicious.

Food was excellent. We ordered takeout on a busy Saturday night and after 30 mins when we went to go pick it up they said they lost the order. They remade it fairly quickly and were apologetic about it but offered no discount or anything. It was our first attempt eating there, I'll give it another try because the sushi was definitely some of the best I've had around here.
