Morton's-Baltimore located in the Sheraton Hotel is only minutes away from the Inner Harbor/Charm'tastic Mile. They are good but not great. The steaks years-ago were better. They a nice happy hour menu. It's not that same Chicago feel like the old days of the late 90's and early 2000's. I still recommend them.
Their happy hour is very misleading. There's a sign outside of the restaurant that says they have "Power Hour" deals, but the sign does not list the hours. I asked the front desk of The Sheraton when those hours were, and they did not know. When I went into the restaurant, I was given a menu with bold green happy hour pricing. I asked my server what time the happy hour started/ended, and she did not know. The non-happy hour prices were listed on the menu, but they're almost indistinguishable from the calories (i.e., in fine print). I ended up paying more than double what I expected. The food was very good, but I wish they would have been more upfront about their promotion.
The first time we ate at the Baltimore Morton's was quite impressive. We had a great waiter who has since moved on. The food was just right, salad, etc. etc. We compared it to our Morton's experiences closer to home in Tyson's Corner (now closed) and Reston, VA. Last night was a disappointment. Waiter tried hard but came up short. The salad I ordered wasn't the salad he delivered. He let his own thoughts get ahead of himself and really didn't listen to what I ordered. We couldn't finish our steaks and asked that they and the vegetables be boxed up separately. We were returning to our home and my out of town nephew, whom we were entertaining, was returning to his grandmother's house. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when we both arrived at our destinations to find the food had been switched -- my nephew got my food and I got his.
Not returning to Baltimore anytime soon......
I went for my birthday and was told that i didn't need reservations. I get there and was told that i needed reservations but that the bar as open. I was then seated like 20 min later after my parents said something. The management made it happen and wished me a happy birthday.
The food was amazing. So, if you are planning on going, definitely call ahead and make reservations
