Bella Italia Baltimore

Great new Italian spot on the Avenue. Went with a group of friends for their trivia night on Sunday and had a great time. Great food menu, drink specials, and service will have us coming back for more! The spaghetti bolognese was particularly good, and everyone was quite impressed with everything they ordered. Thanks Bella Italia!

The food here is awesome! We went for trivia and had a bunch of fun, will definitely keep going once a week - this can easily be a regular spot. We live near little Italy and I'd much rather take a drive here than walk to something closer to us.

Tried this place for dinner with friends tonight, and the staff were super accommodating and friendly. Just got generally good energy from everyone working there. The food was quite good- simple but well executed, and at a value that I haven’t seen from a table service restaurant in a while. We will definitely be back, and I’m looking forward to bringing my parents and in-laws soon.

There are a variety of Italian food options in Hampden, but I want to focus on Bella Italia. The newcomer to the area, we visited on a perfect weather day in Baltimore (70, sunny, very little wind). They had the front area all open which created a great atmosphere for those that didn’t want to sit outside.

We have 2 kids, and the place was perfect for their ages. High chairs, plenty of room to run around, and a kids menu.

As for food? Meatballs were great, chicken park was great, pizza was great, and the Salmon Florentine was on point. Their red sauce was the perfect consistency - not too thin, not too thick. It was hearty and delicious.

Service was awesome, too.

Main takeaway: this is a great family Italian restaurant, but could also see this being a great place for beer and wine at night with friends.

If you’re looking for high quality food that’s adequately affordable come and check this place out. I stopped by last week with a friend and we had a great meal. The pasta is astounding and the service is exceptional. The owner and I had a great conversation of how Bella Italia is new to the block and after some great renovations this place has immaculate vibes. Definitely recommend!
