We came to this place for a meeting. we heard about this spot from quite a few people. Well, it was a winning. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt fantastic. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.
I ordered the Flaming Noods with the shiitakes and it was awesome. Noodles were super chewy and brought the heat and flavor. Maybe there was a splash of French influence with the prep of the onions and shrooms? Admittedly, locating EJJI will entail braving the dreamscape of the Harbor East Whole Foods and navigating your way to the second floor (it’s real and if I found it, you can too). From there you can sit at a bar that overlooks the grocery store. And while you feast on the wonderful and unique flavors EJJI’s fine team has concocted, you can read up on Marx’s theory of alienation.
People may miss the shop because it's on the second floor of the Whole Foods, but it's definitely worth the climb up the stairs / ride on the elevator. The spicy noodle dish is FANTASTIC--super intense peanut flavor and toothy noodles. The dumplings are also good and the Harbor Hen sandwich is very satisfying. Best of all, the staff are super nice.
This noodle shop is inside the whole foods, upstairs in a mini food hall. It has super friendly service and plenty of outdoor seating on a patio that overlooks the harbor. The spicy nood dish is awesome. Ground pork and peanut sauce with a spicy chili oil. The handcut noodles are chewy and perfect.
