Wonderful food, uneven service. If everyone does their job, this place can be a hit! From raw to cooked oysters, from chili corn over cornbread to chicken-fried steak and a decent wine list, and rockfish so good, there wasn't a single morsel left on two plates, we loved it and will go back.
I love True Chesapeake. I’ve been a handful of times and have always had a great experience. Their oysters are perfection. Their crab cake is kind of different than what you’d expect from your typical MD crab cake AND it’s REALLY good :) The outside tables were full so we did eat inside. I was a little nervous about that at first but the tables were so insanely spread out and I felt very safe. I will be going back again soon. It’s become one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood!
Great experience on the porch! Food and drink are still on point.
Amazing food and service in a breathtaking space. The oysters of course are unparalleled and worth the visit alone. The cocktails, appetizers, and mains were of the highest quality as well. Highly recommend.
I went here for Father's Day. The food was delicious. I sat outside. Social distancing is practiced. You must wear a mask to enter even outside seating. The mask can be removed at the table. The salad was good but not nearly enough fried oysters. The Rockefeller Oysters were excellent!! The Strawberry Shortcake was ok in my opinion. My boyfriend loved it. He said it was different. Lol! It's made from almond flour.
