The Tasting Room

I received a gift card to The Tasting Room 2 years ago and LOVED it. Went back again and got the same exact thing and it tasted even better. You will not be disappointed with this restaurant. AMAZING!!!

Nice menu except that THREE of the items I ordered were unavailable so I guess the menu is theoretically nice. Went for Sunday brunch and there were no specialty coffees because the machine was broken. So no cappuccino. So I ordered the hot buttered rum, but no that wasn't available either. My first entree was not available supposedly because of Valentine's day, which was three days earlier. So all of that aside. I had a very good meal there. We split an order of sticky buns which were delicious. And I had the shrimp and grits. The broth was fabulous. Service was prompt. The decor is nice but we sat next to a large window with a significant crack in it.

Overall a great experience.

Appetizers: 4/5, delicious, but skimpy. Got the cheese plate.
Ambiance: 4/5, would vote 5, but we were sat near the restrooms
Service: 4/5, solid, no complaints, but not mind blowing.
Dessert: 5/5, delicious, also a little skimpy, but the taste made up for the small portion. Had the chocolate mousse cake.
Entree:5/5, saved the best for last. This took the overall experience from a solid 4-4.5 to a 5. Their steaks are out of this world good. Great portions, incredible flavor and perfectly cooked. Would go back here just to have another steak.

Meal was around $150 for two people. 1 app, 2 entrees, 1 dessert and no drinks.

Excellent food. Cozy yet elegant atmosphere. Wait staff was efficient. Overall a nice experience.

Great food,great service. The cocktails are the best in Frederick. Ask for Vinnie the Irish waiter. I thought he was Itialian, but he is Irish. The entire staff is first rate, try the Spanish shrimp.
