Chaps Pit Beef

The beef was perfect! Absolutely delicious. So glad we stopped. I had the baked beans and Mac n cheese and they both were delicious. My favorite part is that they use Martin's buns! Yummy!

I was introduced to this place by my niece who eats here often. Took a short trip to visit family for a day. Everyone was hungry the decision on what to eat was not hard. My first visit the Chaps very clean ,condiments section was clean. Its help yourself. My first try was the 2 meat cornbread and Turkey on round potato roll. The roll was fresh nice and soft. Order a large gravy fries. Generous amount of brown gravy. The corn beef and Turkey is a great combination at least I think so. We all enjoyed our food. Yes we will definitely eat here again. The staff is friendly and cordial.

My first time to chaps. Fast and friendly service. Meat was very tender but needed something else in my opinion. I much prefer Philly roast beef to Baltimore pit beef. Overall pretty good sandwich.

Rating the food only: While the BBQ was pretty good (better than 3 stars), this is a pretty standard joint, pairing good meat with cheap bread. Pairing with something other than the cheap, tasteless roll would make this so much better.

This is one of the only BBQ joints easily accessible from I-95 in MD. If you have a hankering, this is the only decent BBQ option.
