Backfin Blues Creole De Graw

This was my first experience with Maryland crab cakes and I was very impressed. Much much better than anything I've gotten around Pittsburgh (which I expected).

Went in on a weekday night. Atmosphere was good, they had a live band playing that performed a nice mix of rock and blues songs.

The waitress was awesome and was very knowledgeable about the area. She was very confident in the crab cakes and they did not disappoint. Prices were reasonable and the food came out pretty quickly. Decent beer selection.

Great experience overall.

Great spot for a creole dish. Everything was appropriately spiced. I had an excellent smoked Manhattan and they had a great drink selection as well. Menu entrees were leaning toward the pricey side, but not outrageous. Average dish with an added protein is around $28. Will definitely go back again.

What a Gem of a place to eat!!!! Great little restaurant in this town. Lots of Louisiana style menu items to choose from and the taste and quality of the food is outstanding. I had the blackened shrimp PO boy sandwich, my wife had the jambalaya dish and they both were great. I would recommend the cajan fries and the sweet potato tots too.

We were at your restaurant on Friday evening an had Titans B. As our waitress. We had been to your restaurant before an enjoyed it but this time was different. First she didn’t let us know the specials for appetizers wish sound delicious as we were hearing the gentleman explain it to the table next to us. The meal was wonderful except we need to ask for water, she did not offer it to us and after dinner instead of coming over and asking if we want to hear the desert menu and see if we wanted coffee she came over with the bill. It was a special evening as we were celebrating Valentines Day. I will think hard about coming back to Backfin as there are plenty of great restaurants in Maryland to choice from.

I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures, but the food was simply amazing. The pork chop I literally cut with the side of a fork. Each item had a myriad of complex flavors and was seasoned to perfection. The portions were large and the leftovers were as tasty as the original. The inside was wasn't overly fancy but was tastefully done. The servers were pleasant and when I went back the next morning to get my phone, he remembered me and knew why I was there. We will be back.
