mad chef kitchen & bar

We were looking for a place between DC and Baltimore and found mad chef and we're so glad we did. It was crowded so we ate at the bar and had wonderful, friendly service from Ed. And the food was great. I had the grilled cheese and my sister had the lamb ragout. I took half of the sandwich and fries home and enjoyed the leftovers today. We can't wait to go back!

We visited there today. Had fried calamari steak, seared scallops and cheesecake. The portion, presentation and the taste of the food was excellent. We tried a drink Jalapeno Margarita which was suggested by our very nice server Kelsey. It was awesome and a must try for people who likes drinks with a kiick! Overall we had a nice evening! I would recommend people to go there . The servers are very informative and friendly..

Flavorful pork belly and short rib tacos. Hearty and dense Maryland crab soup. Tasty crab mac & cheese. Attentive, friendly service. We will return!

Excellent experience here! Our server was nice and had a good knowledge of the menu, which we appreciated as first-time visitors. We tried the Eggplant Parmesan, Guacamole dip appetizer, Calamari and Crispy Fish and Chips for our entree. And for dessert, a very delicious Crispy Apple Tarte with a scope of ice cream. They nailed the portion sizes, so we had enough room for all, but there were so many other enticing things on the menu. We'll be back!

Fantastic eats and wine. Great small plates and a very nice wine list. We had shrimp that very was nicely cooked. The service was very good and attentive. The atmosphere was upscale but not stuffy at all. Will return again.
