my hands down most favorite restaurant. their food is top notch. great service, above and beyond in my opinion. great for events
Went around 9pm on a Friday and it was busy but our party of four was seated right away. The table is really too small for four people when it is busy with others around you. We had other tables/diners on two of the sides and waiters/walkways going about on the others.
With the glasses and menus, there is absolutely no table room to place anything else on the tabletop, which is annoying when you want to put the menu down or can't even find a place to put your beer or wine on an open area. ALSO, the tables have sharp metal under them which, if you're wearing pants materials that snag easy, be careful. They run parallel on the back of the tabletop but seem pretty dangerous for the client's .
The food was all amazing though. Nice ambience and the oysters and calamari were great. Some of the best calamari I've ever had. I definitely refer the Smith island cake as a dessert, even if you're stuffed silly like we were. We all love our steak, risotto, and pasta. So good!
Luckily, the beer selection was decent and we had a great waiter.
This place is great for someone looking for a warm, semi-lit atmosphere done in orginal wood planks in the walls. Great view outside to the lit deciduous trees in the courtyard. My waiter Colin was very attentive and informative. I thoroughly enjoyed their raw oyster selections, the calamari (lightly breaded), and the toasted brie. The combinations were deliciously amazing, and I would love to go back and try out the bar scene at some point. Wonderful experience!
Went for happy hour on a weeknight and enjoyed it. Servers were very polite and attentive and the oysters were pretty good. Great environment, not too loud even in the bar area.
Very busy place Friday night. Reservations are recommended.
Food was great! Service was great as well.
The only thing I didn't like was that the tables for two are too close to each other.
8 months later on a Friday night we were back here again. Not too busy on a cold Friday night, grabbed two seats at the bar. Such a cozy place! Loved their bar arear! The bartenders were very friendly. Food was delicious, sea food platter, tuna, and beet salad!
