I've been here a few times. The staff is attentive and pleasant, always. The food is consistently good. I'm not much of a dessert person, but I've tried their bread pudding and key lime pie, and both are amazing. This a great place for a step up from family restaurants, but not overly fancy or pricey.
First visit at the Stanford Grill - was very impressed with the food, staff, and overall atmosphere here. Fires were very inviting and the layout was very relaxing and comfortable. Steak salad was very flavorful with a good combination of dressing, meat and vegetables - with a hint of sweetness from the fruit. I was 'pushed' into desert and both of the deserts were exceptional - I sampled both the brownie (with a hint of Cinnamon) / ice cream combination and Key Lime Pie and found both with a unique flavor that was worth the extra calories.
Service is top notch! Staff incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything you may need. Food is phenomenal as well. From the lamb, to the pork shank and the filet! So good. My favorite place for a nice, classy dinner.
I can tell this is a 5 star establishment but I think I just got there too late and ordered from a tired kitchen. The ambiance was great... The service was too, but I was the only one at my table who didn't love what was ordered. I don't want to discourage anything on the menu.. So ill update my rating once I revisit. I think it was just bad luck that time.
The service is good, the food is mostly excellent. The price is rather high and there parking is pretty terrible.
The entrees tend to be in the higher side of cost. The ribs were excellent, the steak was underseasoned. Definitely lacked in a pronounced flavor throughout. Other menu items I've tried have been great though. The desserts are incredibly large portions, the key lime pie was delicious but they served nearly a quarter of a whole pie! The drinks are all uniformly really good.
Please know that jazz is played nightly, some may love it, others have it. For me it's fine, but if you're too close to the musicians than you may have trouble hearing your companions.
