Waverly Woods Golf Course

Really surprised with the course. The course was the perfect about of difficulty and even in the winter, was well maintained. Probably the best course I've played at in the area. Great staff and nice layout. Some incredible views as well

I don’t often review things online, but I wanted to give Waverley Woods compliments. We really enjoyed our day there Saturday. Joe and Mark at the front desk were friendly and good-humored, the starter was professional and welcoming, we played at a good speed, and best of all, the course was in good shape. After the round, we ordered lunch, which was delicious. Waverley is not the cheapest course around, nor should it be. It’s a very high-end experience. We will be coming back, for sure.

My first time here, or any course in MD, come to that. I may be over rating, because I didn't order concessions or play the back(front) 9, but I don't know how to give less than five stars while not having a recommendation for improvement. Maybe it's because I've been playing the trash courses in northern Virginia for a year, but this is the first time I've felt like I was on a real golf course since leaving Dallas in June of 2020. Smooth and quiet electric carts with GPS. Well maintained fairways and greens. Granted, these heathens need to learn how to fix their divots on the greens, but that's not on the course. Oh, good driving range. Not awesome, but good. And they give you a small basket of 25 balls to warm up with. That was a nice and unexpected perk for the price I paid for green fees with cart. Now, I will say this. I heard the starter talking with what I assume was the "head starter" or somebody in management about what to do with people who wanted their own cart and it sounded like you could get forced into sharing a cart with somebody you don't know, so be aware of that. That being said, it didn't happen to me, so I can't complain about it. I'll definitely be back.

We had a GREAT time. We played today (9/25, just finished up! The course was lovely and in good condition, we played in like under 4 hours, and the staff was great. In particular, your golf pro Corey assisted us with getting checked-in, and we had a nice conversation with him about our experience halfway through at 9 while we were waiting for food. It's very rare for me to review things online, but we had such a great experience that we wanted share.

The green fee is less then $60.00 which is lot cheaper then expect it. And course is well maintained. Green speed is acceptable. Yes we had lot of fun. Cheese steak and turkey wrap we it was super delicious , .. I love to come back soon.
