Kabuto Japanese Steak & Sushi Bar

Service was slow, but the hostess, waiters and Hibachi cook were very attentive. Accessible prices for a Hibachi dinner. Easy to park and food was excellent. Great Valentine's date!

At the time of writing this Kabuto was fairly new. We had BJ do our cooking and he was fantastic. He connected with everybody and had a great sense of humour. The other service we received however, while polite, was slow at best. Without BJ's excellent work I would have given this a much lower rating.

Excellent food and service. We had lots of different kinds of sushi and sashimi and all were fresh and delicious. Nice presentation too. The restaurant had beautiful elegant decor and played modern music in the background that wasn't too loud. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to our friends.

I have been waiting for this restaurant to open for a little over a year, and all I can say is that is was worth the wait. The prices are more than reasonable compared to some of the other places that have opened up at the Rockville Town Square. The General Manager really knows customer service and treats his staff kindly. I could see whenever there was an area of opportunity during the soft opening that the GM (Bruce) used it as a teachable moment rather than getting upset as his staff.

When you go, I’d highly recommend the Cheesecake Tempura. You may not think you have enough room for dessert, but trust me, you do.

My wife and I are constantly seeking good sushi - hard to find in Montgomery County. This place is, well, phenomenal. Each dish was delicious, and expertly prepared. The waitress was a bit reserved, but completely understandable for a new place. Regardless, the chef was clearly a professional, which is all that really matters!
