This place is delicious!
-Pizza is baked in a wood burning oven, pasta is made from scratch. We had the mushroom pizza and pasta verde- both were excellent choices.
-We had the wings to start, which are also finished in the wood burning oven, the meat fell off the bone and had a zippy hint of lime.
-The house Chianti is a great glass of red for an economical price.
-my boyfriend mentioned he's driven by this place a million times and never knew it was there! Humble exterior for an exceptional meal.
Not so obvious or well advertised place with Italian dishes. My coworker's one of favorite places for lunch or dinner. This is more like hidden gem for local people. Wait time for food is very short so if you need to eat and go, you still get wonderful restaurant food for fast food wait time. Food is more like homemade taste that is yummy. This is taste of mom made tastes that you will not be bored with forever.
I'm used to Italian food in NY. This place falls a bit short of that, however it's not a bad thing. It's still very good. The service was outstanding and the food very enjoyable. The portions tend to be on the smaller side, but maybe that's a good thing. Prices are very reasonable. The bill for our party of five was about $150 with no alcohol (only one beer), two appetizers and three desserts in addition to the entrees. Overall a very nice experience. Went early on a Friday evening and the place was packed.
This restaurant was fabulous. It is off the beaten path from most Rockville restaurants and offers a wide array of delectable options. Among many, one can sample their homemade pasta, brick oven pizza, and the house Chianti accompanies well. If you happen to be gluten free, you are in for a treat unlike with many Italian restaurants. I highly recommend. Homey atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff and owner! Check it out....
Decor is nothing to write about and service is good. Food on the other hand is excellent. We had most of the apps, the rice balls, wings and eggplant were great, the meatballs not so much. Pizza was phenomenal. The caramelized onions and mushrooms and the crust were cooked perfectly.
