Eerkin’s pot pie was the best lamb i ever had in Rockville area. Amazing taste, very clean environment, family friendly, cozy and of course awesome service. (They have all halal menu)

Went here yesterday and was very impressed. Tried four of their dishes and each one was a hit. Also got some of their jasmine tea, which was very aromatic.
This was my first opportunity to try Uyghur cuisine, and I was happy to find that it seems to combine all of my favorite middle eastern and Chinese dishes seamlessly.

Only complaint is that this restaurant is new and they haven't taken down some of the signage from the previous restaurant that occupied this space. The location was very hard to find with the old signage up.

We came the first time not knowing what to expect and we were very surprised with the quality of the dishes, the quantity, and the depth of flavors each dish offered.

Lamb is in a lot of their dishes, so you'd expect that they know how to serve it up. They did not disappoint. Many times, those of us who aren't used to eating lamb tend to shy away due to the gamey taste, but it wasn't until I had it here where you just get the flavors of the food but not the gaminess.

It was so good the first time that we went the following week, trying the pot pie a second time, eggplant salad, the samosa like things that were out of this world, and the delicious noodles that had such good chew and a fantastically rich sauce that just made you want more as soon as you were finished.

We tried a lot of things there in two visits and haven't been disappointed in anything we've tried.

Pro Tip: Get tea with your meal. It's a palette cleanser and really lets you fully enjoy each dish as they are very flavorful and water just isn't enough to do the job.

    Well done, Eerkins!

4.5 stars for the food, 2 for the service. Came at 2pm 4 waiters for 4 table but apparently only one is working. Forgot the soup. Asked for the check twice. Seems like they are new to the restaurant business.

Lamb was a bit overcooked but seasoned well. Noodles were flavorful and nann moist. Soup was tasteless.

Food is great. Selection of tea is great. Wait times are terrible. Hopefully they can fix that.
