Morton's The Steakhouse

Was a belated birthday celebration. Snow had fallen on the actual day.
Staff was extremely nice. The restaurant is cozy. Probably one of the best Filet mignons I have ever enjoyed. Every expectation was exceeded.
Will have to celebrate at Morton's in the future.

Morton's is a reliable place to eat with a great selection of aged meats and specials. The wait staff are well-trained and know the menu very well. the wine list is extensive and they have something to please almost every pallette.
This restaurant is adjacent to the lobby of the Hyatt hotel in Bethesda that attracts a nice crowd. There's also a good bar menu as well.
This visit to Morton's was for New year's Eve and we had a wonderful time.
unless you're really hungry I would go with some of the smaller meat selections because they can be really filling, and really tasty!
the desert souffles take some time to order but they are exceptional and delicious. the appetizers and entrees are all good I especially liked the petite filet and the beef short rib. For a side order I strongly recommend the creamed spinach, exceptional.
there is valet parking available through the hotel and there is a handicapped entrance through the hotel lobby. the restaurant is also very close to the Bethesda metro station so you can leave your car at home if you can metro in.
I would also suggest getting reservations but the venue is a decent-sized so you may be able to get a table just walking in or seating at the bar.

Great food but it would be nice if they were able to controll the temperature better. It was exceptionally hot in there... in the middle of December!

Scrumptious food and impeccable service. The shrimp cocktail is impressive, served in a large dish with crushed ice. Biggest shrimp I have ever seen, correctly steamed and chilled, not overcooked. Steaks were precisely cooked exactly as we requested them. Still sizzling, not overly salted as most places are. Everything was delicious.
A great place to go to celebrate.

Outstanding experience last night - Service was terrific - right there when needed but not hanging over your shoulder. Had a mixed grill. Steak was perfect. And the steak and shrimp prepared perfectly. Thanks to Morton's for another terrific dinner.
