One of the best Japanese places in Bethesda. It's a very small cozy place owned by husband and wife. A very friendly, and quiet. If you know what Japanese food should taste like, this is the place for you. It's good for families and on dates. They're slightly on the expensive side, but certainly worth it. Authentic Japanese restaurants are rare, but this one certainly is authentic. Would recommend it. Have recommended it and those who went there based on my recommendation loved it and became regulars. It's one of the cleanest restaurants. If you don't believe it, watch how the chef (owner) works behind the counter. One of the best.
This tiny, tucked away spot is a true hidden gem. Homemade Kimchi, incredible sushi, various noodle bowl options, and more. And if you're feeling under the weather, the fresh ginger and honey tea is a must. They are so kind to our girls, and we always feel so warm and welcome.
Excellent restaurant with sushi, hot pot, and tempura a la carte. It's run by a very friendly Japanese couple and can seat parties up to 12.
Peaceful atmosphere, great sushi and kind waitstaff. The fish was extremely fresh and and the quality was superb. At a little less than 7.00 a roll for how good the sushi was I am very impressed and will definitely go back again for lunch.
I had the eel, salmon, and tuna and all of them were great. Spicy tuna is usually my stand when I’m craving sushi but I have to say the standout ones were the eel which was fantastic and the smoked salmon which was really really good and not too salty, or too rich.
When I finished I didn’t feel bloated or overstuffed like you end up at some sushi places... the portions were perfect and the sushi chef was a master of his craft
