Chopin Noodle House兰州牛肉面(Gaithersburg)

One of my favorite noodle places to come even though it’s only been open for less than a year. They do truly serve authentic lanzhou hand-pulled noodles which you can actually see be freshly made and is then served in their clean and flavor-packed soup. Their soup is very light but comforting and has just the right amount of saltiness. The staff are pretty friendly and the noodles come in large quantities which makes it more worth it for the price.

I’ve tried some of their other menu options but the traditional noodles remain my favorite. I think that the oil spill noodles are worth a try as well but they are more filling. The noodles come steaming hot and the best part is that the service is really quick with your order to the table within 10 minutes especially when they are not busy. The only part that isn’t as authentic is their chili oil which is fragrant but isn’t very spicy.

Ordered the traditional beef noodle soup with veggies (asked to be added). I've never had this type of soup and am pleasantly surprised. The broth is silky and full of flavor. The noodles have a perfect bite to them. I watched them hand pull the noodles while ordering - loved that. This is a very meat heavy place and I'm not a huge meat eater. The beef in the soup is fresh and cut well. There wasn't too much fat which would be a big turn off for me. The waitress was kind and very informative. Definitely worth a try if you'd like to expand yourself palette or have some traditional hand pulled noodles.

I was pleasantly impressed with the perfect chewiness and authentic flavors of the traditional beef noodle soup. The broth was crazy good – super flavorful and just hits the spot. This place has such a chill and cozy vibe with a nice atmosphere! The piano music sets the mood. Service here was pretty quick, took less than 15 minutes to order, sit down, and served

This place is the reason why my boyfriend and I would drive all the way from NC to Maryland. The beef noodle is authentic Lanzhou food, the soup is very flavorful and the noodles are truly handmade. They also have other authentic Lanzhou dishes. We even packed a lot of food to go for our road trip to Getaway house. Highly recommended!!!

Very good noodle and soup base. We ordered a couple different kinds of noodles and popcorn chicken. Everything is tasty, especially the traditional beef noodle the plain beef noodle and the fish noodles. The amount of noodles in each bowl is more than the Lanzhou hand pulled noodles shop in Rio. One bowl of noodles is enough for two kids. The beef is different in style, thin cut instead of thick cut. Volume wise similar and they both are tasty. The soup base is very flavorful and not as salty. There are more choices here. The pork intensities noodle is very good!
