Pho Nom Nom Gaithersburg

I was recommended this place by a Vietnamese friend of mine, as they have not only pho, but also banh mi and rice and noodle entrees. She said the food and variety in Eden Center in northern VA can't be beat but this is one of the best overall places in the Rockville/Gaithersburg area. I would now have to agree.

The best thing we had was the Grilled Pork banh mi, as the marinade for the pork was so flavorful. Actually I think it was equal or better than what we had in Eden Center. The pho was probably a step below Eden Center but was still good. Everything was very worth the price. Finally, the service was very good and fast, highlighted by the robot that brought the dishes.

We have gone to the Rockville location multiple times before, so we decided to check out this new location. They're located in a quiet shopping center with a free parking lot, and the inside is dimly lit with curtains over the windows. There are booths and table-booths along the walls, and 4-8 people tables in the middle. Overall, the service and food quality is not that different, but the location and restaurant itself is definitely more spacious and less crowded.

The service was quick and brisk, with some of the staff being more polite than others. They have a robot here that helps bring food to the table, though a staff member still moves the dishes from the robot to the table.

The food was decent, nothing too amazing. The peanut butter sauce served with the appetizer was sadly not very peanut buttery. The pork roll and chicken roll are not very different, taste-wise. The jumbo shrimp was definitely my favorite. Note the S1 special has additional spicy sauce served on the side. I recommend adding some to get more flavor.

The new design of the interior is so gorgeous! They also have this adorable robot called noodles that helps bring the food making the service a breeze! There is no dedicated kids menu, however, the section labeled “com hoac bun” created kid friendly options. The broth for the pho is really delicious and well made. We got the A9 and the A6, pho (of course), and the G1a. 10/10 will eat here again and again - so should you!

I can see why this place is so popular. It's some of the best pho around. The broth tasted fresh, clean, and flavorful. The meat was a good cut and the staff is very friendly.

They have a little robot that comes to serve you your food and then says enjoy your meal and finds it's way back to the kitchen 🙂

A good restaurant is more than good food. It is food, service, atmosphere and price. Pho Nom Nom’s Pho covered all the bases and the food is Fantastic! Thin sliced brisket and well done flank was tender and juicy in a perfectly flavored broth! Tim, Ben and Oilsia were super friendly and fun to interact with! I will be going back!
