Update: Third order went well. The bacon cheeseburger is awesome as are their crabcakes. Hubby loves the chocolate milkshakes, apparently they're malty and delicious. The strawberry shakes are great and have chunks of strawberry in them. The online system is set not to allow tips on takeout orders, and while I know the topic can be polarizing, I prefer to leave tips on takeout.
Absolutely amazing establishment that I frequent often if your looking for an amazing burger and great craft cocktails in Montgomery county you must stop in and hop on the olney station train!!!
We tried out Olney station today and were not disappointed. It had a bit of a sports bar vibe but in a good way and was not overwhelming. The menu is a good mix of appetizers, salads and burgers. We ordered two burgers, the Dip and the Mushroom burger. Both burgers were perfectly cooked, but a suggestion that Medium will be pink throughout and very juicy. The burgers are very large and come with a side of fries that range from $13-16. The Dip was a burger that came with Gruyère cheese, carmelized onions, and an Espresso aioli, it was delicious! The mushroom burger came with Swiss cheese, portobello mushroom and a rosemary aioli. This was also good and the aioli really is a perfect match. We also ordered the crab poutine and it was very good, think creamy crab soup with fries! We will definitely be coming back here as soon. The staff were very friendly and the they had a great drink selection.
Had the cheddar bacon burger and it was exceptional. The burger patty itself was one of the better ones I’ve had, and the toppings were great and worked very well with the overall flavor profile (maple aioli, candied bacon, onion rings, and cheddar). I was unsure about the maple aioli going in, but it all just went so well together. All of that was on a perfectly toasted really nice bun. The fries were pretty good. The fried Oreos are a can’t miss item.
I decided to try olney station. Best decision I made ever. Friendly staff and delicious meals. I definitely look forward to returning to try more dishes and cocktails.
