This was my first visit to Gourmet Bazaar. I definitely will return. My food was cooked to order and the presentation was awesome. All fresh ingredients used and the taste of that homemade Greek yogurt beside my chicken kabob was awesome.
Great place to grab lunch when you just want something different.
I’m quite literally blown away by this place. Their kebab was out of this world tasty, great presentation and super fresh/quick. Grocery store was awesome too!
Very clean and modern looking store. Very nice selection of bread, fresh produce, spices, etc. The prepared food looked very good although we did not try any. Reminds me of a smaller, Mediterranean Whole Foods.
We did get the saffron ice cream, which was very unique but ultimately not my cup of tea. I'm happy to have tried it though. I would say many items felt to me on the pricier side, but also many items are hard to find elsewhere so they could be worth paying a bit extra for.
"Hit Gourmet Bazar for Persian essentials - it was neat and upscale, with a full range of products, perfect for Norooz with special Haft-Seen items adding to the festive mood. 🌞🍢 However, the prices were a shock, about 20-30% higher than other places, leaving a bit of a sour taste. #PriceyButPretty #GourmetBazar #ReviewAroundWorld"
Gourmet Bazar is one of the finest Persian stores in the DMV area that I have ever visited. The store is impeccably organized and clean, with a fresh produce section that offers reasonably priced vegetables. The condiment section is also excellent, with a wide variety of Persian spices available.
If you're looking for a Persian market to find something special from Iran, Gourmet Bazar is the place to be. They offer an extensive range of products that words cannot describe.
Their fresh Persian food section is particularly noteworthy, with a wide selection of Persian kababs, kookoos, and Ash reshte. I tried their Bandari sandwich to gauge their quality and taste, and it was absolutely delicious! I intend to explore other items from their menu.
Most of their products are priced reasonably when compared to other Persian stores. The only thing missing from their shelves is Minu Pofak! 🥲
