Damso Korean BBQ Restaurant

What an underrated restaurant! The atmosphere is fun and service is oustanding. Food is tasty as well, especially the marinated spare ribs! Their side dishes are also delicious.

Came here for lunch one Saturday. Got a beef set menu and gehran jim (egg soufflé soup). Some cuts of meat were very good, others just ok.

Excellent option for authentic Korean food. The barbeque was great quality, and the brisket was a real highlight. The other dishes we got (dolsot bibimbap / hot stone bibimbap and bibim naengmeun) rivaled any other authentic Korean restaurant in the area. It is tucked away in the woodmont station center (across from best buy on the pike/355). Very nice and attentive service as well.
(Just a warning that due to the older/unusual nature of the shopping center itself, the entry requires going up a semi-narrow flight of stairs)

I knew I had to come here when they had all of the local influencers dine here. I have been to Damso twice in the same week. Some of my friends over 3x since the place opened in April. When you enter they have the high ceiling vents that take a lot of the smells out of the dining area. The restaurant is fairly small, but I do like how the music isn't blasting and they have seating for all party sizes. At this time, they do not take reservations and its walk ins only. Very short wait times during the week.

Now if you're coming here with a large group I'd recommend getting the Damso combo (3-4 people) or the Premium combo (4-5). The premium adds the seafood pancake, pork cheek and rib eye. The premium is enough food for at least 6 people and its definitely great value for what you get. The cuts are fresh and so were the banchan. My favorite dishes include the bossam, short rib, and boneless short rib. Each of the meats were marinated well and cooked by your server. The grills and the location itself are very clean. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience here. The quality of meats, value and amazing service will have us coming back. Don't forget to read the menu and check the reviews prior to ordering. Just because you cannot go back and get the combo vs ordering a la carte. We spend on average around $60 which includes a couple of drinks and tip.
