Great Reuben and other sandwiches, Jane the owner is a sweetheart.

I love this place because it literally feels like walking into your parents/grandparents kitchen. Things are made-to-order with care and it helps to know that the ingredients are real! The food is delicious and while it's a small staff, the proprietor, Ms. Jane goes through great lengths to ensure each order is correct and you don't walk away unsatisfied! If you're ever in Silver Spring, you GOTTA stop by here for good eats!

I scratch my head every time I read the negative reviews associated with Friends Deli.
This Deli epitomizes freshness with their daily roasted turkey, homemade soups (even the rice is freshly-steamed for their soups), and on-site prepared tuna and chicken salad. The potato, vegetable, lentil, and tomato soups are delicious! If you are not a meat eater like me, you have more than enough great choices to select from.

The staff is always friendly and professional. The Deli is always spotless.

I also love that Friends offers some of my favorite, healthy options including avocado, spinach or sun-dried tomato wraps, and alfalfa sprouts. Their breakfast sandwiches rival those that have people standing in line for 45 min+ at Bethesda Bagels.

The pricing is reasonable.
