Silver Fountain

My new found favorite dim sum place in the DC Metropolitan area. The inside is nicely decorated, and spacious with many large tables. The dim sums are excellent and reasonably priced, with good services to match. The restaurant was packed on Sunday, but the waiting list wasn't long. Free and plenty of parking spaces in front.

I 've been going here for years, and I still enjoy it to this day. It's a family-friendly spot, its also the place to take your date if you fancy an early meal. The food is always hot when it comes out! Whenever I'm close by, I try to come here and indulge. Not the best place to go to if you are trying to watch your waistline, or if you're trying to save some money. DEFINITELY don't dine here if you are vegetarian.Just be careful when ordering, the prices add up very fast even if you are just ordering a few small dishes ( pricey for just a few pieces ). Be sure to come earlier. Today, I struggled with getting an order of shrimp rolls and pork buns due to the fact that none of the carts had them. So, I had to ask a waitress for a to-go order ( one of the reasons why I took 2 stars away). Another reason why I deducted 2 starts away is because of the inattentive people who are serving .Be cautious when you are pouring tea, the kettles do not close entirely ( made of metal, so its very hot to hold on the outside). I burnt my hand a bit, not severely, thank goodness. Another warning, they most likely don't change the small dishes of chili sauce provided. I have also seen people put their fingers in there to taste it. Even after those negative occurrences, I will continue to dine here.

The food was really good. They have a platter that comes with an egg roll fried rice, either white or brown a choice of three different soups and another dish,all on the same plate and a dessert as well. The food here is so good, I'm waiting to go back to enjoy more again. I've been here before and their beef and broccoli is amazing, the beef is so tender ans the broccoli is so fresh.
