Best place for affordable and good Chinese food. They actually have traditional dishes like fish and lobster cooked in different styles. Compared to the other Chinese restaurant in Wheaton, again the most affordable and better tasting in the area. The restaurant was remodeled. They do host weddings. They have dim sum. They have big set menu for large families.
I am sorry to go against the common censuses. New to NoVA area. Came here based on Google reviews and the photos. I always prefer southern Chinese dim sum over northern style.
Food is so so. The are mostly cold because the dishes are on the push cart without any heating mechanism. I ordered daikon cake, mochi/sticky rice, ha gau (shrimp dumpling), shiu mai (pork hash), rice noodle with shrimp. The ha gau were not cooked thoroughly. You can feel the starch and shrimp tasted very "fishy". The daikon cake and mochi rice are a bit greasy. So I am disappointed.
I grew up in Hong Kong until my teenage years. Lived in southern California and just moved to NoVa from Hawaii. Do I would say I know dim sim should taste. I'm giving it 3 stars because there simply aren't that many dim sum options available in the area.
Good stuff my wife loves the Egg Fu Yung. Order took a while but they were busy.
My go-to place for dim sum
Authentic dim sum, the dishes are well-seasoned.
Went there around 12:30 on Sunday and we were able to get a seat immediately for a party of 3.
Pai gu (pork ribs) was my favorite here. Very meaty and juicy.
Wish they had a larger variety of stuff, but it's a nice quick fix for your dim sum craving.
