Zene Deli & World Market

Ok so down Fenton this deli/restaurant is like going to wthiopia. There is a stage with the restaurant area, and a garb and deli section. The feel is very homely. You feel like it's one big family dinner but in a very comforting way. I'm not Ethiopian, and I got some looks of perplexing for being a little out of place BUT was received with welcome arms. The food is so damn good. From the tibs to the wot.

What a spectacular find! At the Van Gogh Immersive we asked an Ethiopian brother for his favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the area and we came. Our waitress was warm & welcoming, Zene, the owner, was so gracious, and the food absolutely authentic & scrumptious. (skip the margarita though & have an Ethiopian beer) Then the music at 9:30pm- a flute, mandolin & amazing vocalist. Will thoroughly enjoy a rerun!

Zene Deli veggie platter is quite good. The portion size is not super huge and for the same price you’ll find other veggie platters with more stuff on it but the quality and the taste is quite good.

Zene's (named after the manager) is a great Ethiopian restaurant and shop in the Silver Spring area. They have a good menu and space to have dinners and lunches. I recommend getting the Awaze Tibs and the veggie combo. The highlight of this restaurant is Zene herself who is wonderful to talk to and really cares about her customers.
