Mansa Kunda Restaurant

The food was fresh and tasted just spicy enough. They didn't have fufu, so we will need to come back soon and try the palasa or peanut stew again.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service was great. We definitely recommend the ginger juice (like strong, flat ginger beer), and both of the dishes above.

Can't wait to come back.

Outstanding. The food, the art. This place isn’t just a restaurant. It tells a story, it showcases African culture and in a way that isn’t usually portrayed. I went here for Lunch to try the jollof rice. As a west African that was the best way to gauge the place. It was delicious.
I have been here everyday since and tried different items on the menu that’s equally as good.
The owner is a great guy, the staff is great. This is where I bring my friends when I want to brag about African food and culture

Love this place! Great food (the yassa is my favorite), warm cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and amazing, interesting cakes (like hibiscus cake and ginger turmeric cake which are truly outstanding). Beautiful decor, and kid friendly.

A welcome and wonderful addition to Takoma Park's restaurant offerings. Featuring authentic decor and cuisine from West Africa, along with an excellent espresso machine and fine pastries. Enjoy wine, beer, and spirits while seated on the drum-chairs. Friendly staff, a local treasure.
