Cute coffee shop with breakfast options in the AM and pizza/pasta at night with cocktail bar. Update. Have tried the pastas and pizzas now. They recently changed their bread on sandwiches to be made in-house. Much better! Huge upgrade on the sandwiches.

The coffee is very good. I order decaf latte. Chocolate croissant is good as well. The cafe is nice and clean, nice atmosphere and the music is lovely. Staff is nice.

Coffee lovers, head to Koma Cafe, the only coffee shop in the area. Driving 30 minutes from SE DC, it was worth the drive. Here's why.

    1) Coffee: Brewing Elixr Coffee, their menu has it all- lattes, espresso, cortados, cold brew, drip coffee. My latte was very creamy, strong, and smooth. I very much enjoyed it. Next time, I'll get their pecan latte.

Drinks come in small or large sizes and they have other drinks like a chai latte, hot chocolate, and tea.

    2) Service: It's friendly and efficient. The barista handled the line with ease and my latte was in my hands under five minutes.

    3) Space: It's a very nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee beans, wine bottles, and other goods decorate the walls for sale.

They have strong wifi and outlets throughout.

It's an Italian restaurant as well so they serve breakfast and lunch until 4 p.m. and then change to dinner service.

    4) Area: It's near many great markets, murals, and there's street parking nearby. If you're into art, wander the streets finding public art and Little Free Library boxes.

Edit: used to be a 5 star. But is now a 3 star. I’ve ordered the smoked salmon toast 3 times, and 2 out of the 3 times it came without an ingredient because they were out, but I was not told that at the register when I paid.

The first time it was cream cheese, the second time it was the avocado. Just unfortunate. The food is good, but the customer service leaves things to be desired.

    Old review:
    SO. GOOD.

We got the egg and cheese croissant and smoked salmon toast. I think it came out to being around 15$ for each of us. (The monkey bread was okay)

The egg and cheese croissant was messy but it was warm, gooey, and crispy.

The smoked salmon toast was AMAZING. They didn’t skimp at all on the avocado and were generous with the smoked salmon. Please don’t change the amount you serve because that ratio was PERFECT.

A super nice new spot in Takoma Park! Beautiful way to spend your morning coffee and breakfast. Staff was beyond friendly —thank you to Harry for suggesting a delicious breakfast pairing!
I would definitely order the omelette again. Cold brew with vanilla was great.
    Smoothie bowl was very filling.
Love the outdoor seating. We also learned they are doing dinner service soon. Will definitely be back!
