This restaurant is really good, I like the S1 and S9. The seafood pancake is also very good.
I really liked this restaurant. I really really did. My girlfriend and I would come here weekly for some savory Soondubu. This restaurant has two shortcomings which made us decide never to come back.
The customer service is not that great. The server that works there will not check on your table or give you the check after a reasonable amount of time after food is finished. We witnessed a group of three wait 20 minutes after their food was finished to receive their check. They tried respectfully calling to the server several times, who did not hear them, so they eventually stood up and asked the server nicely at the server station. This was at a time when there were only two tables in the restaurant...
Secondly, and the thing that made us stop coming, was a charge of $1.50 for an extra bowl of rice. After coming to the restaurant more than half a dozen times, I was charged on my final visit for requesting an extra bowl of white rice with my meal. This restaurant never charged me prior to this request for additional rice. I felt taken advantage of because the check is hand written in Korean so it is as though the customer is expected not to question these types of decisions.
I would suggest coming to this restaurant for good Korean dishes that are not your typical KBBQ dishes, but be cautious of these issues.
I love Korean food. This place is a mom and pop place. So the food taste authentic and fresh and delicious. It like you in Korea!!
Found my new favorite: Woo Gu Ji Tang! Don't ask for spicy version. The original one is way much better!
(Gal bi tang is my all time favorite!)
