A very fun party atmosphere with very talented piano players and singers. The crowd was fun with the bar offering glow bracelets all around plus beer towers for an almost college feel. The drinks seem priced well to compete with other venues in the National Harbor. Parking was easy and convenient at one of the nearby garages but it was fairly expensive at $20.
I went to Bobby McKey's on December 30, 2018. I am still in shock and in awe of the amazing and talented musicianship of the performers!! As a vocalist and performer myself, I am stunned at how they can remember all of those chords and lyrics, to every genre imaginable. This venue is a must. All the musicians are outstanding, but I must give a special shout out to Danny. He played the drums, electric fiddle, and the piano. Not only that this man rapped, sang R&B, sang a song no one really knew, sang classics, beat boxed, etc... If you want an amazing time, you need to go to Bobby McKey's!! It's a must. I am definitely going back!!
We had a great time at Bobby McKey's! We were there on Dec 26, so it was not very crowded which we enjoyed a lot. We had read the reviews here prior to purchasing tickets and decided that the good outweighed the bad reviews. We were pleasantly surprised, as we attended the evening show with low expectations. The two pianists were amazing! Dave and Jimmy blew us out of the water. Personally, I was very impressed with their ability as musicians - they were both able to play not only the piano, but electric guitar and drums as well! We had our own private concert! We were lucky enough to have gotten a front row seat so we could pass suggestions (each with $1-5 attached) to the musicians. They sang all the crowd favorites. We ordered a few beer towers for the group and had a blast! I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. It was pretty loud and there were a few crude jokes but nothing like I had expected. I am sure on a Friday or Saturday night things can get pretty crazy in there. Overall, a week night seems like the way to go. We are looking forward to trying their brunch!
Music is outstanding in this piano bar. Staff is friendly and upbeat. It is a bar, so it is dark inside but the stage is lit. So are many of the customers. I was there for a company party on a Monday. The food was excellent and included prime rib, salads, mashed potatoes and green beans. Basic American fare, well prepared and filling. Not much room for dancing and that was a bummer because the musicians (two pianists) were very good and could play many genres including rock, ballads, oldies and lots of blues with harmonica.
First time here for a work holiday party. Didn't know what to expect. Kept an open mind. Pleasantly surprised. Fun environment. Social bar like, sing along atmosphere. Musicians take requests and entertain from 8pm to 2am. Not sure if the same two dueling musicians but the guys there on Dec 1st were really good. They performed songs from 70s to current and all genres.
