Applebee's Grill + Bar

My fiance and I are here in the area only for a week and we decided to go to Applebee's (Friday around noon). I read the reviews on the Applebee's location and despite the bad reviews, this location had better reviews than others. When we got to Applebee's the host opened the door for ya and was very considerate and polite. Once we got seated the waiter, Albert, promptly took our orders. Our drinks did take a few minutes to come back (Yuengling and Shark Bowl) but we didn't have to wait long overall to get our orders placed and get our food. I was disappointed by the shark bowl because it is supposed to have a blue gummy shark on it and mine did not. Nonetheless, the drink was DELICIOUS! I ordered the cedar lemon chicken which comes with a cranberry quinoa mix and a granny apple relish. Overall very good but I was bummed that the granny apples were large chunks rather than the relish I've had when I've ordered this dish at other locations. My fiance ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and he had no complaints. From the time we sat down to the time we got our food was about 20 minutes. We got our check and left about an hour after we arrived, simply because we sat and enjoyed our drinks. I think a lot of the negative reviews have to do with the time of day because our host and waiter we're great, and the food was great.

Very interesting change. This is not the 2004 Applebees that I visited never to return. The atmosphere was vibrant, the music was nice and my order was surprisingly, excellent. I will return!
