My favourite diner on UMD campus. Not the healthiest but their pizza is great and their pasta and desserts.
Good variety, lots of choices, especially for those with dietary restrictions, but none of the food is anything but okay.
Decent for campus dining. Menu cycles every 2 weeks or so, with some special "Terrapin Favorites" menus every week. Special events around holidays, i.e. Thanksgiving.
Good selection of different foods, including a vegan section and large salad bar. Food quality is decent, fish tends to be dry. Large dining space and a TV room.
The best place to eat on campus. I can eat five plates of food in one sitting, that's how good it is. PRO TIP: when drinking hot chocolate, fill the cup halfway with hot chocolate from the machine and then fill the other half with 2% milk for the perfect taste ????
The diner has a variety of options and in terms of quality it's better than what I expected. However, by being a campus cafeteria it's buffet style which means sometimes the food tastes buffet style if that makes any sense. A lot of their meat is pretty dry and doesn't contain much flavor while things like grilled cheese, sandwiches and omelettes are very good quality. As a picky eater it gets a little boring eating the same foods everyday but that's more me issue than the diners fault. In terms of cleanliness it's relatively clean most times and they continuously have people walking around cleaning tables and such. Sometimes the napkins are disgusting because students dont know how to minimize the amount of food they get on napkins. Most of the issues with the diner are minor and you'll definitely feel like you're at least getting your money's worth here. P.S. Tupperware is clutch for when you want to take leftovers. The staff at the diner likes to be stingy about what you can take out the diner so being able to fit a container in a bag definitely comes in handy.
