I found this restaurant on Google since I was visiting the area. It hasn't even had its official grand opening yet (this weekend). The owner/chef Chris was very kind, patient, and passionate about what he's doing. After talking with him, it seems like this restaurant is not only about food but healing the community and introducing healthier options to his community, specifically Black Americans. The menu is fairly extensive and you could come here at least once a week and probably not get too bored. Pricing is pretty average I'd say for a vegan restaurant. In terms of food quality, it's very good. It's not the best vegan soul food I've had but it was well worth it. The only other con is that because it's still early on, service was a bit on the slower side given that there was a dinner rush and limited staff in the back. As he hires more staff, I think this will not be an issue. Well worth a try for anyone in the area who especially likes to support small businesses.

My teammate and I just finished a 5k and wanted to refuel with healthy options. Recently read an article saying it's Maryland Vegan Restaurant month and this place was listed close to where we finished our workout.
We arrived 10 minutes after opening and there were others who already placed their order. Chef Chris greeted us warmly at the counter to take our order. After viewing the menu on the TV my teammate decided on the fried oyster mushrooms with roasted root vegetables and sweet potato tots. I ordered the soul daddy burger, old bay fries, and mac & cheese. We shared the smoked sweet chili chicken wings and ordered a steak & cheese to go. The total was $70.
Didn't take note of the wait time but was satisfied when I got my food. Chef Chris caught me doing my food dance. I really enjoyed the soul daddy & fries. My teammate said the fried oyster mushrooms were delicious and even recommended it to another customer who walked in. The steak and cheese was delivered to a relative who said it was good and it wasn't mentioned to be a vegan steak and cheese. The mac & cheese was my least favorite possibly because uses carrots and I enjoy cashew mac.
I would go back to try the yard bird, jerk chicken wrap, and the smoked ribs. I'd be excited to try a milkshake also.

Where do I begin. The establishment is clean and the customer service was great! Now for the food it was AWESOME! A family of five we spent $111.30 and it was worth every penny. The ribs, fried chicken, Brussel sprouts, braised kale, jerk chicken wrap, steak and cheese all delicious. The ribs were so good, we order some to go. This was our first time but won't be our last. We will definitely make the trip from Fort Washington to dine.

A great vegan restaurant to have in the community!

Man I’m Glad they got a store front, the truck was cool but this is next level, I got the Sweet chilli Wings , old bay fries and Mac and Cheese, and it was al delicious, the Mac can use a little more cheese flavor tho. But 5 out of 5
