The staff was extremely helpful in helping us host an event at Le Fantome. We had food served from each of the restaurants and ghost kitchens. The samosas, dumplings, and fried chicken in particular were great. The atmosphere was excellent and bartenders were polite and attentive during a busy Friday night rush. Would definitely recommend!
Cool concept but they are still working out kinks during opening week. Very friendly and attentive service on a Sunday evening. Bimbap was flavorful albeit a bit cold. We looking forward to returning when new rotating restaurants appear in the food hall.
There's a new food hall in the area and it's in Riverdale, Maryland. My friend and I went for a drink on Wednesday evening a few days after they opened. Here's our experience:
1) Space: Unlike other area food halls, Le Fantome is in development that screams suburbs. There's a Whole Foods and a Gold's Gym. The up side is there's a lot to see nearby, but to set expectations, it's a development v. an industrial part of town or historic Riverdale.
The space itself is one large room with several vendors serving food from around the world. There's a bar with seating on all sides and plenty of tables inside and outside on the patio.
It's a beautiful space with tiles and stunning lights. It feels very homey and inviting like a true neighborhood spot.
2) Drinks: Sitting at the bar, my friend ordered an IPA and I a chardonnay. Neither of us loved our drinks, but we appreciated the cost isn't as high as other places.
3) Service: It's kind and efficient. Five stars!
If you're in the area, definitely stop by! Since we didn't get food, we will be back and I'll update this review once we do. I've heard good things about the food!
Note: I was there on day 3 of its existence, so this is subject to change, as I'm sure they're working out their processes. They were super busy and hustling. But, food took 45 min to get, never received a text when it was ready, and no estimate of how long it would take when I first placed the order.
The Korean bulgogi bowl had ramen instead of rice, which would've been fine except the noodles were a giant clump that wouldn't separate. Tasty meat, though. The fried chicken was good, but fries were soggy.
The space is swanky, including the outdoor tables. We look forward to returning!
