Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Menu had good variety and food was tasteful. Easy access from highway. Pleasant servers. Prices are reasonable.
Great food and friendly staff. If your hungry and un the area, stop for a visit. They also have country music on weekends including Sunday!!!!
My Husband introduced me to St. Mary’s Landing and he was so right, they’ve got fantastic fried chicken!! If you favor a more rustic scene, then you’ll appreciate the down home atmosphere and being located right across from the Hughesville Farmers Market adds a tint of country laid back even more. Again, I always order the fried chicken you can’t go wrong there. But the only down side I’d say is that there aren’t many side orders to choose from (and we’ve been so many times that I’ve tried them all) and they’re all bland. But I don’t go to St. Mary’s Landing for the sides...I go for the fried chicken!! I do like the fact that they have a bar and the margarita wasn’t too bad.
I'm a repeat customer, however, TODAY was not an that great. Greeter and one waitress (not ours) were not very friendly. My salad came with hair in it (management should make kitchen staff wear hair nets). I wasn't even offered a discount on my bill. The women's bathroom was disgusting, and that's never happened to me before. Our waitress (Isabella) was very attentive and kind. I will come back another time, but if I have ANOTHER really bad experience like today, then sadly, that will be it for this customer. And family!
This is solid, old-school diner/restaurant that is delightful to know still exists. The attraction for us was southern Maryland stuffed ham available for breakfast. Stuffed ham is unique to southern Maryland and there are slight variations between Charles and St Mary's counties. It is a large ham, stuffed with greens, typically kale, and spiced with mustard, pepper, etc.. The ham is boiled, traditionally and the greens stuffing is layered within the ham by stuffing it in pockets cut in the ham. Sounds unusual but I guarantee its tastiness.
This place has large rooms for catering and a full service bar.
