“My Husband introduced me to St. Mary’s Landing and he was so right, they’ve got fantastic fried chicken!! If you favor a more rustic scene, then you’ll appreciate the down home atmosphere and being located right across from the Hughesville Farmers Market adds a tint of country laid back even more. Again, I always order the fried chicken you can’t go wrong there. But the only down side I’d say is that there aren’t many side orders to choose from (and we’ve been so many times that I’ve tried them all) and they’re all bland. But I don’t go to St. Mary’s Landing for the sides...I go for the fried chicken!! I do like the fact that they have a bar and the margarita wasn’t too bad.”

“Used to love but my fiancee had a hair in her food when we were there a month ago. Received an apology but it was very mundane and almost routine. The time before that was nothing special either (food was so-so but not what you would consider worth it for an evening out/comparable to frozen grocery store appetizers). This go round we stopped for carry out milkshakes. Think we may move to ice cream only for now. Again, used to love but recent experiences make it hard to roll the dice on the type of evening we'll have.”

Most people only imagine Diary Queen being good for their ice cream, blizzards, treats, milkshakes, etc. But, on the contrary I've ordered a chicken sandwich from there multiple time and have always enjoyed the grilled or crispy chicken sandwich. “Rita's is a real treat. We take the kids for some Gelati's sometimes after soccer practice. The people are always great, and the treats really hit the spot. They sell Italian Ice treats as well as old fashion frozen custard. The Italian ice is like a more frozen version of a slurpee, and the custard is a richer, smoother, more satisfying version of Ice Cream. They are only open during the summer so make sure you stop by and try them while you can.”

“This is my go to place when I need a quiet lunch. The staff knows me so well that I don't have to go into details about allergies. They remember me. The food doesn't have artificial ingredients in it which is great for sensitive stomachs. They will also modify for those with food allergies. They carry gluten free soy sauce (I brought them this and they started ordering it). The place is SUPER clean and awesome.”
