Coastal Smokehouse

First time coming to this restaurant. The place has a beautiful decor and it is clean. I like to check the public bathrooms at certain restaurants; this restaurant had a clean public bathroom , which is a plus for me. Let's get to the service, waitress we had was friendly, she answers all the questions we asked her. Let's talk about the food, We got grab dip as our starter. the dip came with a side of bread, carrots, and celery. The dip was flavorful, and made with real crab meat. For my main course, I got the brisket with half a chicken, with a side of mac and cheese, and a side of mascarpone grits. The sides where tasty, and seasoned perfectly. The chicken was juicy and tasty. My brisket had good seasoning, however it was a little dry. Overall it was a good experience, I would definitely come back.

The atmosphere is excellent. The wait staff were awesome. The food was just ok. My wife and I got pulled pork, with Mac n cheese, and onion rings. Sadly the pork was terribly dry. The Mac also dry, the best thing we got was the onion rings. They were good. I ordered a craft beer thinking it would be a draft, unfortunately it was in a can, doesn't say much about beer on the menu. My wife ordered a smoky old fashioned it was pretty good. Overall, I wish we had ordered a burger and mix drinks. It looked like the burgers that were served to other patrons were on point. I wanted this place to knock it out of the park. Unfortunately it didn't for us.... I wish them luck.

Great atmosphere, great server, and good experience. We wanted to see what all the great reviews were about but were disappointed in our main dish. The fried green tomatoes were good but the Seaside grits were supposed to be pork belly which is a fatty pork but both of ours were just all fat for the pork. We had to not eat it b/c it was all fat. For $32, the pork belly should not be all chewy fat that you take out of your mouth. It was like that for both our entrees. We will try it again and order something different next time.

Not the great experience I have been reading in the reviews. Took an hour to receive our entrees. The sides with my meal were served cold. Asparagus should be hot. The steak I ordered was so charred on the outside it was crunchy. I ordered medium well. Closer to well done. My wife received a wrong side with her meal. The bright side is that our server was very attentive. Fixed the issues immediately. I give her 5 stars for effort. Would I recommend this place? Probably. Hoping it was just an isolated experience.

This place is amazing! Rich amazing cuts of steaks. I made a point tonight to try other things because a great steak house should be able to do more then steak.
I was impressed. Our table tried the chicken and broccoli scampi, fish dip, mac n' cheese, waffle fries and giant pretzel with queso. All well worth every penny. Will be coming back here regularly.
