Southside Cantina

I'm only giving this place more than one star because our waitress was very sweet and the atmosphere was nice. Food was not good. Hoping things improve as they go along since they're a new restaurant. (7/2020)

Covid review: thankfully these guys have a lot of outdoor seating under a covered patio. We were able to seat five comfortable at a table. Service was great, better than most places these days and we sat down quickly when we arrived - around 6:30 on a Friday. Food was just okay however. We like flavor and spice and found things to be rather plain. Roasted corn was pretty cold and lacking any crunch or char - and the topping was mild in flavor. Tacos came out hot with great toppings but again seemed a bit bland. Maybe the ingredients aren’t fresh or they just hang back when using the spices. I’ll be back but will look for more exciting options. Strawberry frozen margarita was excellent and with strong alcohol.

Fantastic authentic food! Do not skip on the frozen drinks the punch and mudslide are out of this world. Tacos were freshly made and super flavorful. Best fish taco I've had on the Cape!

Located where the old Sand Dollar was. We decided to give this place a try, and I’m glad we did. I was extremely impressed with the scratch made margaritas. The food was awesome too. All 4 of us ordered tacos and they were great. Service was friendly and fast. Having frequented the Sand Dollar for years this place blew them out of the water - exactly what the cape needs!

This is exactly what this area needs! Fresh tacos and great drinks is a must before or after the beach. Nice crisp vegetables in the tacos as well as perfectly seasoned chicken. We can't wait to try more of the menu!

Now let's talk drinks, the margaritas are great. I would love to see some of my favorite tequilas up there but open to trying new ones and I'm sure with time the tequilas will grow with the business. I know you might think I'm crazy here but this is the best, yes the best frozen mudslide that I've ever had, try it he will not be disappointed.

It has a great simple open concept that inspires a weekend of fun!
