I visit here every time I come to Cape Cod. The price are a little high but the quality is good.
I have been going to Persy's Place at one location or another for nearly 30 years (started at the Kingston location as a kid). My latest visit was to the Mashpee restaurant. I've never been disappointed by a meal at Persy's and this was no exception.
I normally peruse the menu online to have some idea what I want before going in; it is a very large menu and can take some time to page through and make a decision. This time around, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, corn bread and loaded home fries. I very rarely have any interest in biscuits and gravy despite having lived down south for several years, but today it seemed like a good option and something I'd never tried at Persy's.
Everything was amazing. To my surprise, there were even 2 sausage patties in addition to the sausage gravy. The eggs were cooked perfectly, not slightly undercooked like many places I've been. The biscuits and gravy were delicious as well as the home fries with plenty of bacon, onions, scallions and sour cream. Even though it was a very generous amount of food, I had just left work and was really hungry, so I finished nearly everything on my plate and took the cornbread home for a snack a bit later.
Across the board, I don't recall having ever had an unpleasant experience or a meal that wasn't delicious at any Persy's restaurant. There is very rarely an excessive wait to be seated even when the restaurant is busy. The staff is always friendly and efficient, the food is consistently delicious, well-prepared and presented and delivered to the table quickly.
There are a couple of minor things to mention that could be improved. When the restaurant is busy, it can be difficult to get refills on drinks or additional condiments, etc. I noticed that the young woman serving me was also serving people across the building in what looked like a sunroom or patio so it was difficult to flag her down and took a bit longer than expected to get the 2nd drink. Also, only permitting one free refill on a $3.00 drink is kinda cheap as the drinks are only pennies per serving, but I get that you have to have some things on the menu with a higher margin to keep other prices reasonable. I also miss the coupons for the free small loaves of corn bread that we're given out at the end of the meal; that was always a nice perk.
I love Persys place the French toast is so delicious
Food is very good but they are so busy it took a long time to get our food. Don't go starving or you'll be hangry. ????
Wonderful waitstaff & great breakfast! Thank you for offering smaller portion options! Highly recommended!
