“Disappointed again... I'm a transplant from the Southwest and I've been trying Mexican food around the Berkshires. This misses the mark just like most of the places around here. The restaurant was very nice inside; they did a great job renovating the place and it had a nice atmosphere. There's a small bar to sit at and enjoy a drink and a bite. The food was bland at best. I got the El Habañero plate so that I could sample a few things and give a fair review. Some of the items were only so-so, some were just not very good or were prepared poorly. The good: The plate looked pretty good when it arrived, see photo. The beans needed salt but were pretty good afterwards. The empanada was the best part of the meal, but it's hard to mess up fried dough filled with meat and cheese. That's about where the goodness ends. The not-so-good: The enchilada: It was super dry. They were very stingy with the sauce, and it had very little flavor. Enchiladas should be swimming in thick, flavorful goodness - this had the top barely coated in a weak, thin sauce that didn't even cover the whole top of the tortilla... sad. The tamale: it was so-so, lacking flavor but mostly had good consistency. The worst part was that it was microwaved to be reheated... I know this because its ends were dried and burned and i had to discard them (I've heated up many a tamale in my time, so I know when they get screwed up). That was a red flag - the cooks haven't really been trained well, it seems. The rice: Lastly the rice. Oh man... this was rubbery, bland, instant Uncle Ben's style rice. Not good at all. You could tell by the chemically, preservative taste that lingers with that kind of pre-prepared rice. I didn't finish my meal. Overall, I really wanted this place to be better. Some of the items were almost there, but they really missed the mark on some others. The prices really didn't reflect the quality or flavor that they should have been - just too high of prices for some items on the menu. I really wavered between 2 and 3 stars for this place. I just didn't like the food, but I've definitely had worse in the Berkshires and Pittsfield. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that they improve for future customers, but I won't be coming back.”

“Typical Chinese lunch buffet fare. Nothing special. You would not be disappointed with food preparations if you are looking to fill your belly:) there’s enough Americanized Chinese food selection. This establishment bills itself as Japanese; apart from the sushi, most are Chinese food on the table:) I enjoyed the salad with the ginger dressing :)”

“I really love this new station. The A+ idea is great and I enjoy knowing that if my kids pick something out at the counter its probably not going to be junk. Good slushies and a great coffee selection.”

“I've been going to Paul's Restaurant for 15 years and i have never had a bad experience. I did not like the very bright lighting They recently fixed it with lower lighting. The decor is kind of modern but clean.. The food is fresh and Delicious. The prices are incredible like 1980s prices. good size portions. The Deserts are very good especially the chocolate silk cake, Wow!”

“Great managers and associates. Very kind and knowledgeable employees. Sometimes new employees are just new employees but they all become very good at their jobs at this location and it shows. For many years now. I have many appreciations for this Shell. As for dunkin donuts that is in the same building, that place is the f-ing worst dunkins i have ever been too. Check your receipts and all that with that place.”

“My large group of out-of-town friends met at Lift on the Friday night before a wedding. We had a great time! The service was excellent, and they were able to accommodate our large party of people. I visited in summer, so we sat outside on the beautiful rooftop patio. The venue is great because it is surrounded by nature. Both indoor and outdoor dining ares overlook the hillside with ski equipment, which I thought was a fun, on-theme view when visiting the Berkshires (even during summer). They have lots of parking next to the building. The menu included appetizers, entrees, and cocktails, but we came for the beer and desserts! They had a wide selection of beer with average prices for the area. The desserts were delicious. I would definatly recommend! We had so much fun that we stayed until closing!”

“Five stars for the food - one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory - but the ambiance could use some serious work. It feels like you're in a basement, which I guess you are, but improved lighting, furniture, and layout could go a long way towards making this a place I'd want to hang out in.”

“Interesting menu with a wide variety to choose from; not your typical fare. There were four in my party and we all thought food and drinks were delicious. Must try the loaded baked potato - a gourmet version like no other! Staff - the host, server and bartender were all friendly and accommodating. Plus a lively atmosphere! Will definitely go back.”

“Honestly for a restaurant that is just opening you expect delays in the kitchen and the staff to struggle. This place opened during covid and they are brave to do so. The food was absolutely outstanding. The meal was tremendous. It did take a while to get food and stuff but that is expected with a brand new restaurant. Food was flavorful and delicious. On a sidenote to the establishment the restaurant business is hard and you will be great. Keep it up and keep working hard!”

“Inconsistent quality. Sometimes it's much better than other times. Also not all locations have French fries which is a bit disappointing but then the potato sticks I bought instead were sealed in a package but they were disgustingly disturbingly stale.”

“Outdoor seating area with view of the lake. Great coffee (not stale, or burnt). Baked goods seem fresh, and tasty. Could use cardboard cup insulators. Hot coffee + thin paper cup= burnt hands. (And possibly something else)!”
