    To start, the shishito peppers were raw instead of blistered. Other guests were not pleased with snacks. Perhaps an off night; previous visits were excellent. Pasta was very good for all of us. Drinks were good. Hopefully the next visit will be better.

    We had a great meal, great wine, and great service at The Covington. The interior of the restaurant was lighter and brighter than The Port Hunter across the street and a little quieter. The food at the Covington was very fresh, with refined flavors, and was presented beautifully. We started with a spicy cucumber salad, delicious, a squid ink pasta with egg yolk and the fresh catch of the day which was exceptional. Our waiter was a young man we recognized from a nearby wine shop and he provided great suggestions for wine and gave very attentive service. While the Port hUnter was a little more of a social atmosphere, the Covington was a lovely place for an intimate, delicious meal.
