The food was great. Not exactly the best place for kids (no high chairs), but we made it work. They were playing some live music which made the whole experience nice.
Probably one of the best places on the island for a delicious drink. The bartender was nice and the whiskey selection was huge. Definitely worth a stop for a refreshing change of scenery
Drink only review: 5/5. I'm not sure how many other cocktail bars there are on the island, but this is the closest we could find that was similar to what we experience in the Chicago cocktail scene. The drink was fantastic and the bartender was super nice and knowledgeable. I've heard great things about the food as well!
We've been to this restaurant twice. Once it was at the end of the season and they had an awesome tasting menu that was based around using all of the food they had left. We went last night and had a less than stellar experience. Cocktails were great and could be the best cocktail menu you can get on the island. We ordered a $18 burger before the kitchen closed and asked for it to be well done (my wife's choice). Out came a burger the size of a slider and it was fairly raw in the middle. We should have sent it back but it was late and we just wanted to get out of there. Service was otherwise good. Long story short: go here for cocktails and whisky.
We got here late (parents day out, long day, needed a nap before dinner!!) and asked if we could get food to go, the staff was accommodating despite it being a Saturday night after what I'm sure was a long day. A table ending up opening so we dined in and the food did not disappoint. I got the beet salad and it was a flavor explosion. Husband got the burger and said it was the best one he'd had all weekend (of 4 burgers this weekend). Atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We also enjoyed our cocktails - French 75 (my favorite, hard to find!), Paper Plane, and Whiskey Daisy. So delicious. We'll definitely be making this spot a regular on our Martha's Vineyard trips!
