Toscana Bar Italiano

Visited early in the week. Great food with enormous portions. =) When you order dinner here, you're buying the next day's lunch too! Service was spot on.

Our first visit tonight. On the phone, the host was engaging and funny. When we got there, he remembered that we were new to town. Then EVERYONE welcomed us to Beverly.
Our waiter (I forget name, but Irish), was attentive and talented.
The sign of great management: every single person working hard and helping each other.
The food was the best Italian that I have had in years.
I’m going to love living in Beverly again.

We had a great time at Toscana. The food was excellent and we are planning to return to try different plates. Their self made pasta (some of them, not all) was very good and the plates were big. We had to bring food home. Definitely worth visiting!

Any restaurant that makes pasta from scratch gets a 3 star default from me. Toscana deserves the additional 2 because their food is ALWAYS fresh and relative to many other restaurants, extremely consistent. Their servers are extremely friendly, the epitome of Italian hospitality.. the draft beer is phenomenal, I don't know why but brews I've enjoyed regularly taste extra great on draft at the bar there.. bonus...! they are accommodating to different dietary styles and have a takeout discount. In trying to eat healthy, Toscana has made my life a lot easier. I try to limit takeout to twice a week.. their arugula beet salad and kale Cesar salads are my "healthy cheat" meals. SO good!
