“Simple street food done very very well. We stopped into Gloucester for a quick walk on the beach and made our way around to the town. With the large selection of food available, we decided to sit by the water, on the dock and have some food. We were blown away by the seafood, the buns are so so, same as everywhere else, but the lobster in the roll was fabulous. The chowder was as good, if not better, than most places in the large area ! Definitely worth a stop.”

“My soul sisters and I enjoyed our dinners at the Gloucester House Restaurant. It reminded me of a family owned business; quaint, charming, a bit outdated but lovely nonetheless. The seafood was fresh and tasty. The waitress was very friendly. Overall we had a nice experience here.”

“I had the steak and cheese sub and it was great. My wife is gluten-free and she had their pizza. She had me taste it because it was the best gluten-free pizza she ever had and she wanted to make sure it was not the regular pizza crust. The staff verified that it was the gluten-free she had ordered. This will become a regular stop. Really nice with plenty of parking and the price was very reasonable.”

“It's an overcast Saturday so my husband and I decided to take a drive to Gloucester and take a stroll. The culture in that town is very intriguing. We arrived around 1:15PM and realized we were both starving! Topside Grill was the first place to eat that we saw. We parked the Explorer and entered. Thankfully there was no wait and we were seated right away. There isn't a huge variety of menu options but if you're looking for seafood, you're in luck. I ordered the scallop plate with an iced tea. My husband got the Seafood platter called Topside Combo and a Coke. The meal was delicious and the waitress performed above and beyond! Our total bill came to $60.00 and that included the tip. At first I thought it was a bit pricey but for the food, the service and the views, I realized that it was just about right!! I'll definitely return!”

“The indoor portion of the restaurant is dominated by a large square bar. The waterfront deck is awesome in summer. Service is unfailing and very friendly. The food offerings include upscale American standards like tacos, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, chicken, salads, etc. They also offer sushi. Drink prices are high, food prices are a bit more reasonable. Food quality is rock solid, albeit not exceptional. It's one of the best waterfront hangouts in Gloucester. This is part of the small Serenitee restaurant chain, although it in no way looks or acts like a chain restaurant. That's a good thing!”

“Consistently good. On weekends there is an upstairs level to accommodate more people. Best thing I've had there is the tuna special, which was amazing. Great oysters too. Steak and fries is also recommended - comes will a very large pile of the thin shoestring fries seasoned just right (and without truffle oil). Bar in the back is cozy and there is a decent selection of alcohol. Menu is a bit different - always unexpected combinations of things but they turn out to be good.”

“This place was amazing. Crowded but I squeezed in at the counter. Ordered the fresh fruit cup that not only had at least 6 different kinds of fruit in it but was also arranged like a little work of art. Had a tasty egg/arugula/fig breakfast sandwich on really good gluten free bread along with some incredible potatoes. Seriously good stuff.”

“Good food, good drinks, bad service. We were seated promptly by the host and really enjoyed our food, though fair warning the guacamole is not the best. Unfortunately our waiter kept disappearing! We had to ask 3 times to get water, not refills on water, just our drinks!”
