Excellent menu choices and great selection of wine by the glass or bottle. Steak, seafood dish and pan seared haddock were superb! Fast and great wait staff as well!
The food was really good. The service was really good. One can feel like being in an older house.
Food is great , but pricey. Entrees are $25-$35. Menu changes on Holidays like Easter, Mother's Day etc. Sometimes very busy, so best to make reservation. Daily Specials. Extensive wine list. The restaurant is dimly lit, and some of the tables are too small for my liking, but not all of them. You will enjoy your meal, everything was cooked perfectly.
This place is New England! The building is one of the oldest buildings on the east cost. There is also a ghost. I didn't believe my friend and asked a few people on the wait staff about it. When I asked each person about it there face got very serious looking and then they nodded yes. Almost like they we're scared to say. I had the prime rib. It was almost as big as my head and it was maybe the best I have ever had! The bar area is my favorite place to eat in the winter. Dark, fireplace, big cozy chairs, great food and drinks.
It was a very lovely atmosphere, we were seated in the comfy leather chairs. My only complaint is that they are a bit low but that's a minor inconvenience at most. Really wonderful place to dine for a romantic dinner or intimate candle lit setting. It's a bit pricey but the portion sizes on the entrees easily make up for that!
