Authentic Mexican dishes.. Delicious! The staff is very friendly.. And the atmosphere is relaxing.. With an occasional Serenade of Live Mexican music! In Full Mexican attire! Nice visit.. Thnks!
Great little restaurant, nothing fancy but good food. Large comfortable outdoor patio. Good margaritas. Upstairs bar is already popular on weekends. Will update as soon as I try the fish tacos!
Huge restaurant, 2 large levels, bar on second floor, and outdoor seating. Live music was outside. I had an original margarita and chicken tacos. Besides the tacos lacking flavors, it was basically good with generous amounts of chicken. The drink was generous size too and great. Would go again and try something different.
Had a delicious lunch with my wife. We were both born and raised in California and love Mexican food. It's difficult to find a Mexican restaurant in New England that has the flavors that we grew up with. Casa Tequila did an excellent job!
Tried this new Mexican restaurant in Salem -- they had guts to open across the street from an established Mexican restaurant in Salem!! I liked the ambiance. Nicely decorated with tile accents, it was relatively quiet, a good place to have a conversation over a meal. There is also a nice outside section, which was well populated. Service was prompt, and attentive enough.
The food was your standard Mexican fare: tacos, enchiladas, burritos, etc. I ordered an enchilada plate, which was 5 different enchiladas under a mountain of freshly shredded lettuce topped with sour cream and a salsa. The meat was tender, and the sauce was delicious. The cheese-filled one tasted like it was stuffed with American cheese. Too much food, and not the kind to survive a trip home. My dinner companion had the fish tacos, three tortillas filled with bite-sized pieces of fried fish, which she declared delicious. It came with a platter if rice, that was tasty, but went largely untouched.
There is a large and creative drink menu. Drinks were large, and contained a respectable amount of alcohol. I am guessing that it is their drinks that will be the most successful part of their offerings.
It's a nice place for a friendly, casual dinner. Worth trying!
