Over the years Red's has gotten better and better! Tourist season starts early (August). Lines can be long, but bring an appetite it's worth it! The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. The servers make you feel welcome. They serve pancakes bigger than the plates, and my veggies were rustic cut. Come give them a try!
Had lunch at Red’s Sandwich Shop in Salem with my wife. The food and service was wonderful. The staff is friendly. I ordered a BLT wrap with a side of sweet potato fries. Very fresh tasting food. Lines form early but come anyway it’s well worth the wait.
This is a great place to go to for breakfast or lunch if you're in Salem. The food is great and the portions are huge! Be aware that the booths are a bit snug and the place is cash only, but so long as you're ok with that, you should definitely hit this place up at least once during your trip.
I was having family from out of town and across the pond meet here, with 4 kids under 10. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff accommodating NINE OF US just upon walking IN OFF THE STREET! The food was great! The staff super helpful and even though there was a small mix up in the kitchen, it was quickly resolved! I highly recommend this place! I will be back!
Prompt, friendly service and good food with ample portions. Great place for that classic, "old-fashioned," diner experience. A nice, casual, place to grab a bite that's beloved by locals and a must-see for tourists. Trying to get in during October can be an ordeal, but if you visit in the off-season (I was there in March) you can get in without the lines. I visit Salem often, but finally made a point to go here. My breakfast sandwich was delicious and the corned beef hash was a bit different - looked like an omelet - perfectly hit the spot.
